The complex is located at the suburbs of Patras, Achaia, and is immediately adjacent to its ring road. A similar but bigger in size was also designed for Thessaloniki. The building complex, with a total area of 4000 m2, is shaped in distinct functional modules, following the organization specifications proposed by the employer. These refer to areas used for the classification of mail, services, and administration. The building follows principles of energy conscious design and implements sound and noise absorbing techniques. The character of the Distribution Centre and the coexistence of different functional modules, diverse in space requirements, direct the outline of the building. This consists of three main volumes: the big industrial area for the automated classification and distribution, which dominates the complex because of its location and size, the area for the vehicle services and workshops, and the two-storey volume of the offices.
