The project concerns the creation of the administrative offices of “Simantro Resort” – a hotel in Halkidiki- in the center of Thessaloniki. The total area is approximately 120 sq.m. and includes, in addition to the entrance and waiting area, two executive offices, a meeting room, an open workspace and auxiliary rooms.
The morphology of the space has references to the architecture of the hotel itself, which is based on the traditional architecture of the mountainous region of Halkidiki. The design wishes to transcribe this connection, through a more contemporary and abstract prism. For this reason, arches and warm earthy shades were adopted as central design elements, but applied using contemporary materials, such as metal and glass. The minimal design of the furniture and the use of neutral shades bring about the desired balance between the past and the future, resulting in a modern and welcoming working environment.
